Here it is after I updated udev and disabled the
password protection on the thumb drive:

[root@mbrc15 ~]# !parted
parted /dev/sdb print
Model: SanDisk U3 Cruzer Micro (scsi)
Disk /dev/sdb: 1021MB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: msdos

Number  Start  End     Size    Type     File system  Flags
 1      126kB  1021MB  1021MB  primary  fat16

Information: Don't forget to update /etc/fstab, if necessary.

Looks better, doesn't it?  It now works correctly.

I wonder if there is a secure file system I could use on
it that would work on both WinXP and Linux?
