There's something fishy here. I've now been using Linux in various distros on a variety of systems for several years now starting out with Mandrake 8.0. I never found the switch from Windoze to be stressful. More, I found the switch to have been a very positive experience : first and foremost, NO MORE BLUE SCREENS, NO MORE INEXPLICABLE HALTS, NO MORE NEED FOR REPEATED REBOOTS AND GONE ARE THE WEEKLY RE-INSTALLS. I have tried many, many distros and found that, particularly in the install process, they have been quicker, simpler and more able to locate hardware than have the various Windoze versions (W95, W98, XP and 2000). Every Linux distro I've tried has been STABLE and each works as promised though I did find that some are easier to use and install than others, but that's a minor quibble. I would NEVER EVER go back to Windoze even if you paid me : and you'd have to pay me a lot to even get my attention.
