On some machines, you hit the F12 key while the machine is doign its
self test, and it will bring up a list of boot devices after it
finishes the self test. You can then pick what device you want to
boot from. On my laptop, it gives you the option of booting from the
hard drive, the DVD, the network, or a USB memory device.
