https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=245525 With respect to this bug, I found a webpage where someone on Ubuntu stated that he had problems like this with Tomboy. Which I just happen to have on my panel. I couldn't manage to log in on my terminal today without all of the panel applets failing. "The panel encountered a problem while loading...", one for each of my panel applets (clock, workspace switcher, weather, etc.) I killed and restarted my panel a dozen times with no change. I then did some searching and found mention of this Tomboy situation here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomboy/+bug/84439 I deleted Tomboy from my panel, restarted it and everything loaded.
