If it's a problem with Nvidia cards only, then the responsible party is Nvidia. If the problem can be re-created using video cards with open-source drivers, then you can report it as a kernel bug. > Who should be submitting the bugs? The person who has the problem is the best one to submit the bugs as they are likely the only one in a position to provide the necessary information and do further experimentation if it is required. > Where does this leave the users that doesn't know how to do > the tracing and submit a proper bug? Probably up the creek, unless they can find a more knowledgable person to assist them. But this is not an uncommon situation when it comes to computers -- what does the non-knowledgable person do when he has other problems with his computer that are beyond his ability to diagnose or repair? This applies to a lot more than kernel bugs or video drivers, as you see. -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Melville Sask ~ http://www.melvilletheatre.com
