Regardless, you can still set it up just fine. There's all sorts ofways to configure and connect the soundcards through both the .asoundrcfile (something worth looking into a bit on the ALSA site), and alsothrough jack. If you're doing recording also take a look at planetccrmahttp://ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/ .
