can't install F7 x86_64 on Athlon X2 system

I'm having trouble installing Fedora7 on my Athlon X2 4200 system. When I go to boot off the DVD, it loads vmlinux and initrd, then says ready and stops. Any suggestions as to the problem? I also have 1GB of ram and a 70GB raw partition that i want to install it on. Thanks.
