From the log messages, it does look like everything is detected, and
/dev/sdc and /dev/sdc1 are created. From the error message, I
suspect you are using sdc1 instead of /dev/sdc1 in you mount
command. You may also be able to mount the drive as a user using
"gnome-mount -d /dev/sdc1". I am not sure if it will work with the
fdi mount rule changes in HAL. You can check the partitions on the
mp3 player using "fdisk -l /dev/sdc".
