As I suspected, Fedora 7 didn't detect the rocketraid 1740, so either
Fedora doesn't ship a kernel with the needed module, or Highpoint hasn't
got the driver into Linux yet.  The driver might be proprietary too - I
don't know.

Well, this makes things about 10x harder.   Now I have to figure out how
to build the damn module with a Fedora 7 machine.
