You click on a file, the player opens, and does zilch. By contrast, and this is the first time I've tried vlc, and I've installed it on Debian Lenny, as I've mentioned to Karl, but this seems to work even easier than Mplayer. One question about vlc. The images are quite dark, and I can't find any sort of config for brightness/contrast, etc. Any suggestions? Nigel.
