Just curious if anyone on this list happens to know if it is possible to disable all the filename completion and directory tracking nonsense in the gtk file browser? On a big server with a gazillion network filesystems mounted, typing a partial filename that happens to contain a path through a directory with lots of mountpoints sends the file browser into navel contempletion mode for a long time (you might as well go out to lunch before typing your next character :-). I'd love to disable all the helpful junk so I can just type the damn filename without waiting 20 minutes.
