Hi Kevin, I am a fan of K3b but this morning I made a FC6 CD using the
Gnome CD/DVD maker and happy to say there is a well written HELP and it
went just fine for a first ever use of this software on FC6. I recommend
you at least try it before you write it off :-)

1.0.1 doesn't need a patch, just a configure option. From
http://k3b.plainblack.com/ :
New configure check --without-cdrecord-suid-root to disable K3b's check for
cdrecord permissions. Although not recommended it is requested by many
distributors.
The current 1.0.1 packages in Rawhide and updates-testing don't set this yet,
can you or Harald please add this?
