This appears to be specific to NeroLINUX, since other disc burning software uses devices like /dev/cdwriter or /dev/scd* which are assigned to the console user at login-time.
Haven't checked that to be honest. Simply because there is specific need to use NeroLINUX on the systems FC7 is supposed to be installed on.
If you just want a work-around, you could override PAM's /etc/security/console.perms.d/50-default.perms with your changes: "man console.perms"
Thank you for the suggestion, but wouldn't a "system" solution be better? Since I have very limited internet access as a result of lightning impact (only damage is a dead adslmodem), I had no time to check if there has been any bugreport on this. Regards, Patrick Moelands
