This sentence only addresses installation and post installation
requirements. It does not directly mention requirements for running
the Live CD.

As a frame of reference, Knoppix requires 128 MB minimum for graphical
applications (Openoffice) while openSUSE 10.2 requires a minimum of
512 MB to launch into Live mode (less memory is required for
installation).

You have selectively choosen to ignore the section below for some odd reason.

"# Minimum RAM for text-mode: 128MiB
# Minimum RAM for graphical: 192MiB
# Recommended RAM for graphical: 256MiB "
