Putting aside your annoying problem, this is just a light hearted reply. I've used Apt, and Synaptic since FC1, and have had very few problems with them. it may (and is only a suggestion) be worth giving them a try. Both are available from Fedora extras. btw. We havn't heard any of your experiences of your earlier years lately. Got anything on the perils of getting too close to waveguides? I know you have problems with the infernal machine, but you also give us an insight into your experiences in TV, both in the past, and present. Hope you resolve your problem. Nigel.
