This is NOT just an NVIDIA (driver) issue.

I'll experiment with the xorg advice from the links above, but I don't
expect it to change anything.

I see the same problems using Intel graphics (on-board Intel chipset),
running Beryl (or Desktop Effects), in both Fedora 7 and Ubuntu 7.04

I first noticed the "missing Titlebar" issue, when I first ran Desktop
Effects in either OS.

If you turn the Desktop Effects off, then on and back off, you should get
your Titlebar back, with no further problems (IF, you leave Desktop Effects
alone).

If it happens in Beryl, just Reload Beryl, (or start the service if it isn't
loading automatically).

At least this is the way it seems to work for me .....

Regards,
Randy

p.s. In answer to someone's question; ALL windowed applications lose their
Titlebar, not just the terminal. As a result they mostly popup in the upper
left hand edge of the screen.
