I leave it running until I've uploaded at least 70% of any particular
download. So far my upload ratio runs at almost 1.6, so I give more
than I get.

I try to leave it up for AT LEAST several hours (6-12) and whenever
possible for at least a day. I realize it may be even more courteous
to leave it up for longer, and also helpful to others. I always hate
it when I try to get a torrent that doesn't have enough people seeding
it, so it drags along at 3-10 kB/s, so I do try to help out for at
least a while whenever I can.
