Pardon? What does that mean [failed to merge]? The merge is complete. What used to be "Fedora Core" and "Fedora Extras" now is called just "Fedora".
and I need them in my F7 installs. They are in F-development. Although I have a small hand-rolled private repo for these packages now I think I might get into trouble once F7 updates start rolling. All these packages are included with Fedora 7 in the "Everything" repository, which I believe is enabled by default after installation.
