Is that a typo? FC6 was released with kernel-2.6.18-1.2869.fc6.
Everytime I run "modprobe" to load any driver, the file modules.dep is reset. So, everytime I need to rerun "depmod -a" to rebuild it. Anyone knows how to solve that? Didn't find any update for module-init-tools
Did you do a "yum update"? Do you have the update repository enabled?
