crw-rw---- 1 roma audio 14, 3 May 19 21:56 /dev/dsp
That is, the group shown must be audio, otherwise, something went wrong.
Try rebooting after making the changes.
It works just fine for me, either FC6 or x86_64.
I can remotely login and start sound on any computer.

I setup "audio" group and this my /dev/dsp
[david@reddwarf ~]$ ls -al /dev/dsp
crw------- 1 david root 14, 3 May 21 17:02 /dev/dsp
What did I do wrong
