If you are using a .iso, you can do: system-config-packages --isodir /opt/install/dvd/ inside /opt/install/dvd/ there is a mydvd.iso Another option is to mount the DVD and do: system-config-packages --tree /media/cdrom/ It will solve al depencencies.
