That is interesting since the comparable grub.conf file in FC4 looks
like this:
title Fedora Core (2.6.15-1.1833_FC4)
        root (hd0,2)
        kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.15-1.1833_FC4 ro root=/dev/hda5
        initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.15-1.1833_FC4.img
title Other
        rootnoverify (hd0,0)
        chainloader +1

These don't look compatible to me in the Windows portion but I have
never looked at a debian grub.conf.
