Firefox in FC6 is buggy - and no, I haven't reported it, or even checked whether it has been reported. If you ask for a link to be opened in a new window it automatically opens it in a new tab. You then have to use 'Detach Tab'. Anne
It works. You have to use the "-new-window" parameter.
