but it still needs to be possible without a gui... it`s a good second choice.

I asked about a similar subject regarding the GUI access to fixed
partitions and someone pointed me at the following utility which looks
promising. It is not packaged for Fedora though ... yet.

But it would be nice to be able to flip a switch as root and have all
your partitions show up like they do for removable disks. That would
be ideal for me since I want to apply it to a custom LiveCD which will
be run on top of all sorts of different partitioning schemes so it
needs to dynamically build the partition list.
