Funny, I can predict where CD's and DVD's are mounted; /media/(name of CD/DVD). And uh, last time I checked (which was like a week ago) adding CD/DVD stuff to /etc/fstab still works; I routinely do it when I want the CD/DVD to be mounted in a predictable spot, instead of depending on the CD/DVD name.
