hola,
i'm upgrading from FC 3 to FC 6 on a supermicro, intel-based, server
with SATA disks. When i get to the point where the installation process
should ask me if i want to upgrade i get the disk partitioning screen.
then when i try to partition disks i am told that there are none!

Are the disks in a BIOS RAID controlled set with LVM partitions on top of them?

If so, I have had similar problems with reinstalling with the
installer on the F7LiveCDtest3. I don't have a solution yet but it may
be a similar problem to your issue.

From what I can gather, the recognition on boot of (and error on) the
redundant LVM labels in a RAID1 set blocks dmraid from doing its thing
properly and blocks anaconda from seeing any disks. You can go back
and then forward again in the installer and it should show the disks
but then it died for me when I went any further.
