We went through this some time ago and I don't have the original thread.
But there was  way to edit .asoundrc in your home directory to use
"dmix". Worked like a charm. I could play many apps all at one and all
were mixed into one audio stream perfectly. Now an upgrade has wrecked
that setting, I believe, and I'm looking all over for that email. My
bad, as I have a pile of email folders where I cache the good stuff. Ric
