Meanwhile, you can try krename. It's a GUI utility which will let you rename
series of files very easily, based on rules defined by yourself. You can use
it to add the leading zero(s) to the names of the files with less-than-needed
digits in sequence numbers.


Thanks for the suggestion. I have used krename in the past, but I
don't need it now. I am interested in having Konqueror sort files the
way the wife names them, not changing the wife to name files how
Konqueror sorts them. Computers work for us, not us for computers.
