That's a valid point, but in the US anyone can sue anyone else over just about anything and it's not over till the appeals are used up. How can you be sure that someone won't claim ownership of some obscure parts of Linux and sue over that - again?

Just because people can sue over anything does not mean that you should
knowingly infringe a patent or take that risk unnecessarily which will result in triple damages. That's very close to the
suggestion security holes in Internet explorer does not matter since
Firefox has security holes too. As usual you are just arguing for the sake or having a argument here.
