I'm not 100% sure about this, but try editing /etc/auto.misc (as root)
Find the line:

cd              -fstype=iso9660,ro,nosuid,nodev :/dev/cdrom

change to

cd              -fstype=iso9660,ro,nosuid,nodev,users :/dev/cdrom

you'll need to restart the autofs (I think)

/etc/rc.d/init.d/autofs restart

if this is no good, try reading
man autofs
man 8 automount
man mount
etc.
