Well, whatever undocumented crap it does that allows both i386 and
x86_64 rpms to install "the same" files (which are in fact obviously
different) is clearly a wart about the size of the titanic.
Well, just last week a co-worker here made a whole debian testing form
amd64 instalation (didnt know that it was for that arch) on and intel 32
dual core procesor with no problem at all.
He found out what he had done when he tried to upgrade the kernel. ;-)
