Look in your /var/log/sm-mta, that is what's archived every month.
/var/mail/ gets backed up every night, but not archived. So if your
question relates to me being able to recover a lost e-mail from
someone's INBOX, then no I'm not keeping entire messages. However, I
*can* extract the contents of the message from the log file and give
that to the user. And for our clients, that's good enough.
