What we have here is, in essence a fork (or 2) of the packages. Now, it is easy enough for experienced users to put in a exclude= in the other .repo file, but a new user should not have to do this. Perhaps one (or both) of these repos could formalize the fork by changing the names of the packages which would solve the problem for everyone.
