I've got that same drive in a Dell as a slave on the secondarycontroller and have not had a problem. There is a DVD as the masterin my system also. I'm Running FC6. You might check to see if thereis any new firmware for the drive.

Speaking of firmware upgrades for DVD drives, there is a more supposedlymore stable firmware available for my drive, and of course the upgradeinstaller is for "windoze" only. Is it possible with the firmwarebinary file to upgrade the drive from within linux, or am I stuckpulling the drive out of the system and moving it elsewhere for the upgrade?
