After continuously monitoring nVidia's Linux forum i have finally found a solution. The solution is to enable "HWCursor" on xorg.conf file. Here is the link to nVidia's forum.

All,

Is there a update to compiz expected on FC6? I have issues with "desktop-effects" and i believe that they are related to compiz.

Processor: AMD Turion X2 (Dual Core)
Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce Go 6100 (driver 1.0-9631)
Issue: When the desktop-effects is enabled, a "tooltip" kind of "shadow" is seen with mouse. Mouse behavior is erratic, sometimes feels like lost control over the mouse.
      Title/Menu bar disappears on windows.

Thanks in advance

These are issues with the current nVidia drivers and not compiz or beryl.

There are known problems with video memory constraints since the addition of the TFP (texture_from_pixmap) functionality required for compiz/beryl, which in turn cause multiple problems with composting managers running under Xorg. These problems manifest themselves in multiple and confounding ways, hence the multitude of posts on this matter.

My take is that this issue is not a bug per se, but a fundamental design problem with the current nVidia drivers. This opinion is largely supported by the time interval over which this problem has been known and the lack of a fix to date. This time interval suggests the need for a re-design of the relevant parts of the driver and not just a bug fix/patch.

Keep track of the threads here:

and stay abreast of the details of any new driver releases as they become available. So far, there has been no formal announcement by nVidia of a possible timeline for resolution.
