Try this, comment out the DPMS line in the xorg.conf file.

You might want to post the whole config file that you tried.  Do those
options belong with the monitor or video card section?  I would have
thought that if you wanted a particular video card not to do some
probing, you'd configure it.


Attached, with the dpms back in, and a load of legacy sections not used (I did also try regenerating one from scratch with system-config-display and that couldn't make one that worked).

  Again, this was fine under FC5 a couple of days ago.
