That is wrong.) Actually I think you can't build the nvidia driver from X if you're trying to build for the currently running kernel, building for a different kernel is no problem in X. Whenever I install a new kernel I build the driver for that kernel before I reboot: # ./NVIDIA-<blah blah>-pkg1 -K -a -k '2.6.18-1.3200.fc6' Works like a charm from Gnome Terminal. Brian
