You seem not to be listening to us. Have you bothered to checked what
the BIOS says? Yum update is just making a lot of use of your CPU, it
is _incapable_ of causing that problem you described by itself.

I'm listening, that is why I decided to upgrade my hardware. I am not
going to overheat my cpu again though, so that I can check the
temperatures in the BIOS.
