Is this not correct? I've never experienced it any other way.
This is correct.
How can you know what has happened on my machine?
The fact that Windows overwrites the MBR in no way prevents booting
Linux using Windows.
Nothing prevents NTLoader from booting linux, however, it does not do it
by default. If you reinstall windows you lose linux until you've manually
edited boot.ini to put it back. Therefore, by default, you lose linux,
unless you're aware of what's happened and can manually fix it.
Anaconda happily autodetects other OSen and gives you entries for them.
NTLoader doesn't.
