Well, for my IDE disks under /proc/ide/hda there's a bunch of files
If I cat the model, then I can use that on the manufacturer's website for very detailed info, otherwise there's other stuff there

settings contains a wcache (write cache) flag.

So try, /proc/scsi/ ...
