Linux's built-in software raid is more sophisticated, better tested, and

Use it instead.

I get the feeling that these cheap hardware raid solutions we get for "free" on the mainboard are sudo-raid-wannabes and that the "driver" you have to load to use them with Windows is just software RAID...

Can anyone confirm that is the behavior...?
