It's easy to see what has been updated lately (either by yum or any
other way). Just do this:

rpm -qa --last | less

You will see all package upgrades with a timestamp, in reverse
chronological order, like this:

~ rpm -qa --last
pstoedit-3.44-5.fc6                           Sat 25 Nov 2006 04:52:46 PM BRST
fedora-package-config-apt-6-5                 Sat 25 Nov 2006 04:52:45 PM BRST
apt-0.5.15lorg3.2-8.fc6                       Sat 25 Nov 2006 04:52:14 PM BRST
