I would second Arthur's recommendation to choose a port other than 22
but that does require reconfiguring sshd_config on which ever machine is
getting forwarded since the linksys is incapable of changing the
incoming/outgoing port #'s

Otherwise, if you are going to leave port 22 open to the world, the
package 'denyhosts' is probably a very good idea.
