Bluetooth manager breaks it.

  Hello guys,
I have been using bluetooth to transfer files to and from
my phone happily - thank you.
I always have a 'Ready for Bluetooth file transfers' icon in my
notifcation area.
Suddenly there appeared a blue button with a bluetooth symbol on it,
'Bluetooth manager' I didn't mean to install it. But there it is.

If I bring up the preferences dialog it looks potentially useful.
But if I change any settings, even if I thn put them back, my phone will
not connect again until I reboot!
I see messages

"srvc not available"
or the 'seeking' never finds.
Is there some debug I could provide? Thoughts anyone?
           Bill
