What version are you running. I installed an RPM.
$ rpm -qa |grep tuxtype2
tuxtype2-1.5.3-1.fc5

$ tuxtype2 -v

tuxtype2, Version 1.5.3
Copyright (C) Sam Hart <hart@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>, under the GPL
