Just try it. Open a terminal and type "desktop-effects" - it will pop a little
window asking you if you want to turn it on, if they're installed - this from
KDE - I just tried it. I personally don't give a thwack for them, but,
different strokes for different folks...
And when you do this, even if you cancel, you will lose settings on KDE.
Grrrr. And like you Claude, I probably don't give a thwack about them
either.
