Which brings up a good point:  you can find out what package it's in and
try to remove it with yum (be sure not to have that auto-yes option
enabled!).  That may give a hint at what uses it, and provide fodder for
googling.  Something like:

    []# rpm -qf /path/to/nasd
    []# yum remove the-package-above
