i followed the instructions, but i have a problem in one step, the step of installing ieee80211 subsystem.
i get the following error

any ideas about what may cause that......

That is correct. Because of legal issues, the firmware can't be shipped
with the distro. Everything else for the IPW2200 is already in there.
