If there was a problem with the kernel, I would stop using it and reboot the 2798 kernel ! That is one of the advantages of using Linux ! I didn't realize that the kernel installed, but I was waiting for an updated kernel and I'm happy to be running it. The problem here is with having to BUILDING a driver module for the nvidia hardware in my laptop. Only problem is that to reboot the 2798 kernel, I have to build another friggin nvida module ! Uggghhh ! You can imagine how much I like switching back and forth between kernels. -- Kim Lux, Diesel Research Inc.
