I do all of this completely stone cold sober! Think on that one! > Also, you can read this book "How to Quit Drugs for Good: A Complete Self-Help > Guide". > ISBN: 0761515178 > http://www.amazon.com/How-Quit-Drugs-Good-Self-Help/dp/0761515178/sr=8-1/qid=1160257173/ref=sr_1_1/002-9218440-6688816?ie=UTF8&s=books I have my addictions, that is for sure. "My name is Ric!" ("Helloooo Ric!") ...and I am an email addict!" (crowd erupts into spontaneous group hugs all over the hall) "And, I have been email free for ahh ..about ..well ..precisely ..ahh .. 3 minutes and 40 seconds." ("Seek your Higher Power, Ric!!") ("Yew cane do eet, Reek!") ("Take it one step at a time!!") "ahhh Thank you all" <chokes up teary eyed> This is not meant to disparage the very fine folks at AA and NA. I have very close friends who have been in one or the other or both. They are my Brothers. There are many forms of addiction beside those two as well. Being diabetic I get sick as hell drinking, being on drugs would just get me into even more trouble with the notable people of Power & Authority. I'm not completely stupid. Not completely. So, I get a buzz on writing, computers and flirting with the ladies. So, do I get high? You betcha, as an observer of the human condition and the absurdities of life that surround us daily. I also channel Hunter S. Thompson, but we're working on the percentages of the book deal before I can do the Announce. You should hear us talking to each other! He refuses to do Open Source, the SOB. It's always about the money. Those of us that spend more than 5 hours a week, outside of the work place, fiddling with our computers, may be considered afflicted with obsessive behavior, if not addictive. If no one is hurt by it, then it's OK and getting self-educated is a good thing. Spending an entire weekend chasing down a problem, that's obsessive! Learning something new? Priceless!
